Tui Na
Accreditation of the Tui Na Massage Course
Tui na is the most recent branch of Chinese medicine to reach the UK and its popularity is growing at an ever-expanding rate. Our Tui Na course has been accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists and graduates are therefore eligible for membership of this professional body.
At LCTA we are working to help develop the newly constituted professional body, the British Tui Na Association (BTNA), of which our graduates have automatic membership. Using the BAcC as a template, the BTNA has been established to set up Codes of Safe Practice in the profession and to maintain high standards of education for practitioners.
About our Tui Na Massage course
On this course you will not only learn tui na massage techniques but you will also receive the same in-depth knowledge of Chinese medicine as students on our Acupuncture course. You will develop your skills in the various techniques, including compound techniques, passive movements and methods of tonification and sedation. You will also cover the TCM actions and apply your learning in a supervised clinical setting. In addition, this course also includes the study of Shaolin Neigong Qi Gong, Healing Sounds Qi Gong and Wisdom Style Qi Gong.
We run Tui Na courses for beginners and also at postgraduate level for qualified TCM practitioners. It is also possible to combine the postgraduate Tui Na course with our undergraduate Acupuncture course to gain qualifications in both disciplines. |
