Qi Gong

Qi is "vital energy", and Gong is "time and effort". Using Qi Gong, practitioners are able to focus the mind on the body's internal state, identify areas that are out of balance and then channel the body's energy to heal itself. Regular practice of Qi Gong will not only tone up and change your body, but it will also make you fit and help you to heal yourself. Qi Gong practice helps to replenish your vital energy, keeping you healthy and making you more effective in your work.

As a Qi Gong practitioner, it can also be useful to be able to recommend exercises to patients as part of a treatment and rehabilitation plan. With regular daily practice, you can increase flexibility and reduce pain significantly. Providing movements are tailored to an individual, Qi Gong can be an empowering form of therapy.

About our Qi Gong courses

LCTA brings you two unique courses in Qi Gong.

The first is a short evening course that combines two of the UK's best-known styles of Qi Gong. Experienced lecturers successfully combine Wisdom Qi Gong with Shaolin Neigong Qi Gong to create a new approach to qi cultivation and self-healing. On this course you will gain a thorough grounding in the basic postures of both styles and begin creating your qi field.

The second course, developed by Neil Archer, is a Practitioner Diploma in Wisdom Qi Gong. Wisdom Qi Gong is one of the most widely practised methods of Qi Gong in China and was the style of Qi Gong used in world's first medicineless hospital. Through Wisdom Qi Gong, the art of self-healing, you will cultivate your vital force to replenish mind, body and spirit. Gentle movements and meditative postures balance yin and yang as you merge with Universal energy, transforming your finite potential towards the infinite.

Our Practitioner Diploma in Qi Gong course has been accredited by the Federation of Holistic Therapists and on completion students are eligible for membership of this professional body.
