Alumni
When you graduate from LCTA, you could be forgiven for thinking that your involvement with us ends there. It doesn’t! Our graduates keep in touch with us long after they leave, sometimes writing to us to update us on their news, sometimes teaching with us, sometimes writing for Dragons Tale or for other magazines and sometimes just popping in for coffee and a chat.
See Alumni Support to find out more about the various types of support available to you. You can also find information in this section on our postgraduate courses, details and dates of alumni study groups and Andy Kemp’s yearly China trip.
It’s good to keep in touch and we are always thrilled to hear how you are doing in your practice and if there is anything we can do to help you. If you want to let us know how you are doing and to share your experiences with us please do call or e-mail the college on 020 8446 3332 or college@lcta.com, we love hearing from you.
Kate Smulian nee Gallwey graduated from LCTA in July 1999, which she says “seems like yesterday...”
“I live in South Africa with my husband and three children. We run a Wellness Center in George on the Western Cape. My acupuncture clinic is small but growing steadily. When I started at LCTA I wondered what in the world was I doing but I am very grateful to the grounding it gave me - it gave me a professional edge in the alternative world that few here can match.”
Nicola Court graduated from LCTA in 2007. She writes:
“Everything is going really well - my clinic is busier than I expected and I’m really enjoying being an acupuncturist! I have a website which I’m really proud of www.nicolacourt.co.uk - have a look if you get time. I do miss everyone at College and I hope you’re all well and not working too hard.” [Picture of Nicola]
