Support
In addition to the study groups, China trip and Alumni Association, we have a comprehensive support network in place to ensure that you make the transition from student to practitioner smoothly and confidently.
Free Classes
As a graduate of LCTA, you are welcome, indeed encouraged, to sit in on individual classes free of charge at any point, to update your knowledge or just as a refresher. To book call the office on 020 8446 3332.
Mentoring
Mentoring is a requirement of the Register for Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM). All herbal graduates work with a mentor in their first couple of years of practice - an experienced practitioner who can help and advise as you learn. This is an excellent system which we fully support and which really echoes the apprenticeship-type training that herbalists would receive in China.

Dragons Tale
Having grown from a College newsletter into a widely respected publication, Dragons Tale is an excellent way to stay in touch with the profession. As a graduate, you will automatically receive Dragons Tale on a quarterly basis, and we always welcome contributions or new ideas. You can download back issues of Dragons Tale here.
Alumni Study Groups
One of our lecturers runs these on a regular basis for graduates to keep in touch and to mull over difficult cases in a safe environment. To find out more or when they are being held go to the Alumni Study Groups section.
A similar forum also exists for those who are still students: The Learning Space.
Study Trip to China
Every year Andy Kemp takes a group of students and graduates for two weeks to a hospital in Hangzhou, China. See China Trip for more details.
