The London College of Traditional Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (LCTA) is delighted to announce that it has received accreditation from The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) for its Diploma in Tui Na and for the first year of its Qi Gong Course.
This exciting achievement means that future graduates of the Diploma in Tui Na and the first year Qi Gong courses will be automatically eligible for membership of the FHT.
“This is fantastic news for the College and for the two courses,” says College Principal, Susanna Dowie. “We have always tried to ensure that our courses are among the best of their kind available in the UK and our acupuncture, Oriental herbal medicine and nutrition courses are all accredited by the appropriate professional bodies. Even though they are relatively new to the UK, both tui na and qi gong are becoming increasingly popular and it is therefore important to ensure that practitioners are given access to the proper professional training. Receiving accreditation from the FHT highlights the dedication and skill of our teaching staff and the effectiveness of our courses and we are extremely proud of our achievement!”
The Qi Gong course is taught over one, two or three years with qualifications awarded at levels one, two and three (level three being the highest). As a level one practitioner, students will be able to practise qi gong, teach patients, friends or family basic exercises for their own self-healing and use qi gong massage on them. The Diploma in Tui Na Massage is a certificated professional course. Students graduate with a Licentiate Diploma in Tui Na and automatic membership of the British Tui Na Association.
