College Structure

As a student, you will have most contact with your course lecturers and the staff who work in the office. Each unit of your course has a unit co-ordinator who has overall responsibility for the running of that unit. The unit co-ordinators, together with the Principal and the Course Manager, are members of the Academic Board, the body that oversees all academic matters, including the curriculum.

The day-to-day running of the College is in the hands of the Management Committee who are appointed by the Board of Governors. They are supported by an enormously capable administration team. Our Governors work voluntarily with the College to represent the public interest, as well as contributing individual expertise and advising on the general policy and direction of the College.

In your year group you elect a student representative who will meet with the staff each semester to discuss issues that may arise with respect to the running of the College. In addition, student representatives are invited to participate in staff meetings and to contribute to curriculum review.

As a not-for-profit company, any financial surplus at the end of the year is ploughed back into the College, rather than given out to directors or shareholders.
